IGI Paraflex 4625 is an excellent pre-blended paraffin pillar wax. 4625 will require multiple pours to achieve level a surface. In most applications allowing the candle to cool completely after the first pour and doing a second pour will yield a level candle surface. Suitable for warmer climates. As with all candles, you will need to protect against temperature fluctuations during transport and storage. 4625 will hold up to a 9% fragrance load and has excellent hot and cold scent throw. IGI 4625 has a smooth, creamy and opaque appearance and will have a matte finish. IGI 4625 also works very well for making votive candles.

IGI Paraflex 4625 Melt Point: 145°F Pre-Blend Pillar Paraffin Wax. This wax will also work well for making wax votive candles. This wax is meant for making free standing pillar candles & votive candles that will be burned in a votive glass.

Instructions for use:

Heat wax to 190-200*. Once wax reaches desired temp, add your dye, blend well then add fragrance and again blend well. This wax should be poured between 185-195* into heated molds to minimize skip lines. It is advisable to poke relief holes around the wick of the candle once the wax has become solid but is still pliable.

After the first pour has cooled some, reheat your reserved wax from your first pour and refill the void (sink hole) in the candle until you reach the level of the first pour. You will want your second pour to be 10* hotter than your first pour to minimize lines from the second pour. Repeat the repour process as necessary.

A MSDS for this product is available in a printable format here.

*We can only offer recommendations as to what wax will perhaps work best for you but we cannot guarantee any certain wax to work best in any application because of the many variables involved. The only way to determine the appropriate wax selection is by experimentation. Test burning will be necessary to determine the best wax for your candles! For testing, we offer for purchase, 10 pound slabs or bags of wax.
