EcoSoya® CB-135 has
excellent adhesion to containers without preheating, requires only one pour, has
an excellent scent throw with both fragrances and essential oils and a creamy
white appearance with some potential to bloom (white frosting) when using dyes.
EcoSoya® CB-135 is made from
pure 100% soybeans and carefully selected botanical oils. Candles made with
CB-135 have a soft creamy appearance and a smooth flat top surface. Candles made
with CB-135 may produce frosting. Ships well in all climates. A maximum
fragrance load of 12% is possible.
Melt Point: 122 °F Container
Candle Soy Wax. This wax will also release
well from a votive mold and will work well for making wax melts.
Uses: Container Candles, Votive Candles
Fragrance Load: 6% is considered idea but will hold up to 9%
Dye: Chip, Block, Flake, Powder
Optimal Pour Temp: Refer to instructions below
Wick Suggestions: CD, ECO, HTP, RRD, Performa, Paper Core
Wax Type: Soybean
Additive Suggestion: Soy waxes are considered optimal as are.. You may want to however add UV
Color Stabilizer to prevent fading and chemical color change.
Instructions for use:
Heat wax to 175-190*, add
dye (liquid dyes are not recommended for use in soy wax but block, chips, flakes
and powders make exceptional colorants for soy) and blend well, add fragrance
and again blend well. We recommend adding scent between 150-175* for best
Pour temperatures will vary
according to container type and size, fragrance and dye, and the effects you
want to achieve. CB-Advanced Soy can be poured as low as 100° F (37.8° C) if the
wax is kept in motion (constant mixing) until poured. There is a difference in
cooling rates for different container configurations. Cooling too quickly or too
slowly can cause concaving and/or frosting. Large jars such as the apothecary
configurations and large candles above 8 oz (237 ml) in size cool slower and
require lower pour temperatures, about 125°F (51.7°C) or lower. Smaller candles
(less than 8 oz (237 ml)) and metal/tin containers cool fast, requiring a higher
pour temperature of about 155°F (68.3°C). If difficulties are experienced with
your pour temperatures, try a lower or higher temperature in increments of 10°F
*Pour temperatures should be checked and
confirmed according to seasonal changes.

*We can only offer recommendations as to what wax will perhaps work best for you but we cannot guarantee any certain wax to work best in any application because of the many variables involved. The only way to determine the appropriate wax selection is by experimentation. Test burning will be necessary to determine the best wax for your candles! For testing, we offer for purchase, 10 pound slabs or bags of wax.
