Bath Bomb Supplies
These super fun bath
goodies are simple to make and are a great way to unwind after a long day. You
can also add dried botanicals, a bit of glitter or dust with a bit of mica in
the end. The possibilities are endless. Have fun making these. Keep in mind
that they do need to be packaged so that they are not exposed to extreme
humidity, humidity can cause them to activate. Also they are best made when it
is less humid indoors.
Simple Bath Bomb Recipe
1 Cup Baking soda
1/2 Cup
Citric Acid
1/2 Cup
Cornstarch
1/4-1/2 Cup Fine Grade Sea Salt or Epsom Salts
2 1/2 Tablespoons Sweet Almond Oil or Cyclomethicone (Cyclo makes them feel silky)
3/4
Tablespoon water
2 Teaspoons
soap safe fragrance oil
1/4
Teaspoon Borax (sold in the laundry aisle)

Directions:
- Mix dry ingredients, except borax in a large bowl.
- In a bottle, mix together water, oil, liquid dye, fo and borax. Place a dropper or flip cap on the bottle and shake very well. the top of the bottle and shake well.
- Begin mixing dry ingredients with one hand and with the other, drizzle liquid blend into the dry mixture. Slowly and continuously blending the liquid into the dry mixture until fully incorporated. (*Be sure to do this slowly. Adding the liquid mixture too fast can trigger the fizzing action!)
- Form into balls Bath Bomb/Fizzy Scooper, or press very firmly into molds. Wait a few seconds, remove carefully and set on a wax paper lined cookie sheet to air dry overnight.
