*As of 1/15/18, this fragrance will NOT be affected or reformulated due to the following!: On October 31st, 2017, a fire occurred in BASF’s Citral production unit. Fortunately, there were no injuries but their factory suffered severe damages. On November 10th, BASF declared Force Majeure on Citral and all derivative ingredients until at least the end of March 2018, as their repairs will take several months before resuming production. BASF is a major synthetic ingredient supplier for the industry. Citral is the intermediate for around 30 ingredients mainly used in perfumery such as Citronellol, Gerianol, Linalool, Pyranol, and Hydroxycitronellal.
