These are actual half shells of the coconut. They can be used for candles however they are VERY porous and *soy wax is NOT recommended in them. To use for a candle the recommendation is to use a two pour paraffin wax like the IGI 4794 or IGI 4786. Be sure to use high temp hot glue to anchor your wicks in these shells.

Approximate Dimensions: 4" Long x 3" Wide x 1 1/4" Deep.

*Soy wax is very oily and will penetrate the shell and leak through the shell.

These are perfect for candles but do not have a flat bottom; all of the wax will settle to one side. My husband is going to sand an area flat or make a wooden ring to glue them to.
